A long bamboo board, a charcoal slate inset, three small knives tucked into their own compartments. Set it down on the kitchen island on a Friday evening and the conversation tends to gather around it — the way good objects do.
The slate lifts out for washing, then slides back into place. It takes laser engraving to a soft, chalky etch, which means a recipient's name or a company mark sits into the stone rather than on top of it. Bamboo grain runs warm against the cool slate, and because it's a natural material, no two boards read exactly the same.
