A partial elastic waistband does the diplomatic work between tailored and forgiving. Slash front pockets, a coin pocket, welted back pockets and a zippered fly keep the silhouette clean. Reflective tape along the hem catches headlights on the evening walk home — a small, considered detail that earns its place.
