This is a coaster with a second life. The base, pressed from wheatstraw, holds the playing grid beneath a clear magnetic lid that doubles as a flat resting surface for a mug or tumbler. Foam backing protects timber and lacquer from rings and scuffs. The magnets click cleanly. The pieces stay put in transit, then scatter into play when you want them to.
Branding sits beautifully on the lid via digital or pad print, the wheatstraw lending a softly oatmeal ground that flatters muted palettes and earth-tone logos.
